Single-Wall Steam Wax Melter

A single-layer stainless tank, open at the top, heated by steam rather than by an electric element. Inlet and outlet steam pipes are fitted on the tank itself, and the unit is built to order around the steam supply you already have.

Steam is the quickest way to put heat into a large charge of wax, and it puts it in evenly — the pipework runs the length of the tank, so there is no single hot spot the way there is directly above an element. Once the tank is up to temperature the thermostat holds the set point without an operator watching it.

The control box sits in a band across the lower front: temperature controller, main switch, indicator lamps and circuit breaker. The open top takes slab wax without breaking it down first, and the welded 304 stainless frame on stainless legs keeps the tank steady on a workshop floor and easy to wash out between colours.

A hinged cover and a paddle mixer can be added if you want them. Tank volume, steam connection size and position, outlet position and heating capacity are all built to your requirement.
